New Downtown Beer Store a Step Closer to Completion

Windsor’s Downtown Beer Store on Wyandotte Street East will be moving in the new year once construction of its 6,800 square foot new location is finished.
In just three weeks, foundation and exterior structure has gone up at the new location.
The Beer Store’s current location stands in the way of proposed improvements to the Windsor-Detroit tunnel Plaza and will be demolished in mid-2012.
The new location is on the site of the former Sheldon’s Central Chrysler dealership located at 790 Goyeau kitty-corner to the Windsor Fire and Rescue Headquarters.
An additional 4,800 square feet of retail space will be added in the second phase of construction.
