College Avenue is now open from Campbell to Crawford after a bridge over the CP train tunnel tracks was reconstructed this fall.

After being deemed unsafe for traffic in 2008 and subsequently closed, replacement work on the 78-year-old bridge started over the Labour Day weekend in September.

Construction crews are still putting finishing touches on decorative elements and pylons may be in place for a few hours this week.

With the majority of the construction funded by a $8.5 million investment from the Provincial Government for infrastructure improvement, the work was completed last week and opened for traffic on Saturday.
