The Humane Society’s annual “Tree of Life” promotion kicks off today, and you are invited to help decorate it by filling the tree with ornaments representing donations you make to help our animals.
With each minimum $10 donation, you will be given two ornaments – one to hang on the tree and another to take home to place on your own tree or to give to a person who you have made the donation on behalf of.
Here’s a breakdown of donation levels and what they support:
$10 will help buy toys for a dog or cat to help them pass the time until they find a forever home
$25 buys the formula and canned food needed to raise an orphaned kitten until they are big enough for adoption
$40 funds an investigation into animal cruelty
$75 will cover the cost to spay/neuter a cat to find them a forever home
$125 will purchase a Kuranda Bed to keep a dog comfortable
It is there hope that by New Years Eve, there are so many ornaments on the tree that you won’t be able to see the branches!
