Windsor Police have laid several drug related charges against two Toronto-area men after executing a search warrant in the city’s west end last night. At 8:30 pm officers from the Provincial Anti- Violence Intervention Strategy (PAVIS) along with officers from the Emergency Services Unit executed a search warrant in an apartment located at 1980 Wyandotte Street West. Officers had received information that the occupants of the apartment were selling “crack cocaine”.
Upon entering the apartment, officers located two men inside and immediately arrested them without incident. Upon searching the apartment, officers located a quantity of “crack cocaine”, Percocet tablets, cash and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
Police report that the value of the seized drugs totalled $1050.00.
Magan Omar age 25 years of Toronto is charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Liiban Siyad age 20 years of Etobicoke is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Both men are in custody and will appear in court today.
