Ruthven Apple Festival This Weekend

The 32nd annual Ruthven Apple Festival takes place this weekend at Colasanti’s Tropical Gardens.  This last Summer Festival for the region features arts and crafts venders, children’s midway, games, food, classic cars and more.  All proceeds from the festival go to benefit Essex County Community Living.  The festival runs Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Here are some festival highlights:

Saturday:
7:30 am-10:00 am: Breakfast In Colasanti’s Restaurant, served up by the Ruthven Oddfellows and friends made with country fresh eggs, bacon, pancakes, home fries and coffee. Price: $6.50 Per Person
10:30 am: The Apple Festival Parade. Starts at County Road 45 and 2nd Concession in Hamlet of Ruthevn and will move Northbound to Colasanti’s.
11:30 am: Opening Ceremonies At The Main Festival Stage. Includes apple peeling contest and welcome from dignitaries.

Main Stage Entertainment
12:30pm-1:30pm: Visions – Top 40
1:30pm-2:30pm: Trish Wales and Company – Contemporary Music
2:30pm-3:30pm: Crystal Gage – Country Music Artist
3:30pm-4:30pm: Nicole Barron & The Prospects – Contemporary Music
4:30pm-5:30pm: Derek Hearns and Friends- Country Music

Sunday:
10:00 am to 4:00 pm: Car Show

Main Stage Entertainment
12:00pm-1:00pm: Dale Butler and Friends – Gospel Music
1:00pm-2:00pm: Essex County Ramblers – Bluegrass Music
2:00pm-3:00pm:  Early Cash- Country Music
3:00pm-4:00pm: Last Minute – Contemporary Music
4:00pm-5:00pm: Home Town Family Pharmacy Musical Showcase of Local Talent
5:00pm:Ruthven Apple Festival Raffle Draw
