Windsor Police have two men and a woman in custody after a search warrant was executed at a near east side residence last night.
At 7:30 pm on Tuesday, September 14, 2011, officers from the Drugs and Guns Unit attended a home at 17 33 Marentette for the purpose of executing a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant. Prior to entering the residence, officers observed the suspect named in the warrant exit the house, get into a vehicle and travel to a nearby coffee shop where the suspect met another man. The suspect then travelled to a nearby convenience store where officers approached him and placed him under arrest without incident. A subsequent search of the suspect revealed a quantity of dilaudid and morphine tablets.
Officers then entered the residence at 1733 Marentette and executed the search warrant, where they located an adult male and female inside the home along with three children aged 15, 12 and 11 years. During a search of the house, officers located and seized quantities of morphine, other prescription narcotics and a large quantity of cash. The total value of the seized drugs amounted to $3500.00.
The adult male and female inside the residence were arrested without incident and the children were picked up by a family member.
Ronald Briden, 54 years of Windsor is charged with five counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Delores Briden, 46 years and Jason Greenwood, 33 years, both of Windsor are facing four counts each of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
