UFOs Spotted Over Windsor Last Night?

A YouTube video is making its way virally around different social networking sites in Windsor today.

“UFO over Ambassador Bridge windsor ont canada july 2 2011″ shot by YouTube user gomezpayne claims “After a hell of a storm rushed through Windsor Ont, I noticed around two dozen red and orange light[s] hovering and moving to the sky then disappear.”

Gomezpayne goes on to say with excitement, “What the hell did i c MY FIRST UFO, because I don’t know what it could be cant be helicopters or plaines cuz it was just to quiet. [sic]”

Did you see anything unusual during the storm last night?  Do you believe in UFOs?

Hoax?  Legit?  What do you think, Windsor?

    Maybe it’s those  chinese fire lanterns?

      Sanja says they were lanterns that they saw released from a building downtown and they floated for a while before dimming near the bridge. Of course I asked her if she had her camera… :)

      It was definitely Chinese lanterns…. for my wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love that my wedding made news

    Andrew MacLeod and I (Tom Lucier) saw a UFO flying over the Quality Suites Hotel in downtown Windsor last night after the major storm was done. It was a triangle formation, moving slowly, and slowly, one by one, the lights dimmed from a red to an orange, and finally gone.

    It scared the crap out of me because they were too close to be airplanes flying together, and the lights fizzled out separately. The last light was on for at least 30 seconds by itself until it disappeared. I’m so glad someone else captured this, because everyone else I’ve told thinks I’m nuts.

      This is crazy!  I was out all night last night, driving, taking storm pictures…never thought once to look up!

    Andrew MacLeod’s band, Years of Ernest had a CD release party elsewhere last night, and I asked him to stop by with a CD before they played. He did. When I walked him out of the building, I looked up because there were three weird red lights in the sky. We watched them and wondered what the hell they were…

    I’m just glad I wasn’t alone when I saw them. This way I’m less crazy, and if I’d been alone I’d have freaked out.

    Meh. A bunch of unidentifiable lights. Big deal.

    Most likely something as simple as homemade lanterns, as already mentioned. Some of the sighting descriptions mentioned above fits that explanation to a tee.

    Ohh, some slowly moving lights formed a shape I recognize! Surely it’s aliens!

    we saw 3 lights over techumseh that night too  they were flying pretty fast then disapeared  into the clouds the were heading towards the west the might be connected with the ones they saw
