The heat that has settled over Windsor and Essex Country is here to stay for a while, and with each day it will get just a little bit warmer.

Todays high is expected to hit 33°C or 91°F, but with the humidex it is expected to feel much warmer.

Thursday will be even hotter with temperatures expected to hit 39°C that’s 102 °F.

The Heat Alert Level Two issued on Monday continues.  Be sure to drink plenty of water, take frequent breaks if you work outdoors, check in on the elderly and take it easy today!

A smog advisory has also been issued.  There are a number of actions that you can take to help spare the air, such as leave lawn mowing for another day, restrict the use of gasoline-powered equipment and delay using oil-based paints, solvents and cleaners.
