Dr. G. Allen Heimann, Medical Officer of Health, has issued a level 1 heat alert for Windsor-Essex County starting Sunday, July 17, 2011, with humidex values of 40 or higher in the forecast for both Sunday and Monday.
Heat and humidity is expected to move into Windsor Sunday and stay much of the week with the hottest day of the week being Thursday.
