On Tuesday July 26, 2011 officers of the Windsor Police DIGS Unit received information that a male party was in Windsor from British Columbia.  The male was staying at the ABC Motel on Dougall and trafficking in marihuana.

Based on this information DIGS members conducted surveillance on the ABC Motel.  A transport truck and trailer was in the lot and both the transport and trailer had BC plates.    The delivery car was observed coming pulling into the ABC Motel parking lot and a male matching the description of the suspect was observed exiting the car.  The male went into a room and then exited a short time later. The male left the lot in the delivery car and was stopped by DIGS officers.  The suspect was arrested and a pound of marihuana was seized.

Search warrants were executed on the hotel occupied by the suspect, the transport truck and trailer. Seized from the hotel room were 57.41lb, of marihuana $17,820 in Canadian currency and various drug related paraphernalia.  From the cab of the transport truck was $18,000 in Canadian currency

A male party who is originally from the Windsor area but now residing in British Columbia is facing charges for two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of proceeds of crime.
