Windsor Police are searching for a 66 year old Robert Mahon after a home in the 1200 block of McEwan Avewas broken into and a couple was robbed on Saturday morning on the city’s west side.

The couple had been watching television in the living room of their residence when his attention was drawn to his dog standing at his bedroom door. The husband walked over to his bedroom door and was met by the suspect holding a knife with a bandana covering his face.  The suspect ordered the husband to lie down on the couch and then ordered the wife to take the shoe laces out of her husband’s shoes, which she did.  The suspect then tied the wife’s hands together with one lace and then tied the husband’s hands together with the other.  The suspect then demanded the couple’s money and gold.  The husband retrieved a quantity of cash and handed it to the suspect before he fled out the back door.  The victims were not physically injured during the ordeal.

The husband and wife immediately freed themselves and called police.  A check of the bedroom revealed that the suspect had cut the screen on the bedroom window and entered the home through that window.

Robert Mahon is described by the victims as a white male, in his 60’s, 5’9″, thin build, 160 lbs, wearing a baseball hat, a grey and brown bandana covering his face, a white undershirt and long green shorts.  He has three small tattoos on his right arm and one on his left arm. During the robbery, the bandana fell off the suspect’s face several times.

Anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of Robert MAHON or anyone with any information regarding this robbery is asked to call Windsor Police Investigations at 519-255-6700 ext 4830 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 519-258-TIPS (8477).
