Windsor Police are searching for a female suspect after a convenience store was robbed at knifepoint yesterday morning.

Just after 11:0oo am the 52-year-old female owner of the store had been working behind the counter, when a female entered the store with her face covered completely and approached the counter brandishing an 8 inch knife with a black handle.  The suspect demanded all the money from the victim. The victim took a quantity of cash from the cash register and placed it on the counter.  The suspect grabbed the money and ran out of the store, removing the face mask as she exited.  The suspect fled on foot east on Shepherd Street.  The victim also ran out of the store and advised her husband, who was outside what had just transpired.  The husband gave chase and observed the female suspect get on a bicycle and ride southbound in the alley between Dufferin and Goyeau Streets.

The suspect was last seen westbound on Tecumseh Road.  Neither the female or male victims were physically injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white female, 5’5″ with a slender build.  She had a shoulder length blonde hair in a pony tail.  She was wearing a dark coloured shirt and dark pants.
