Bike to Work, and Get A FREE Breakfast!

On Monday, June 6th, start your work week off right with a free breakfast at City Hall to kick off Bike to Work Week, sponsored by The Windsor Bicycling Committee. From 6am until 10am, members of the committee and city council will be serving up bagels with cream cheese, coffee, juice and fresh fruit. Information about Windsor’s cycling clubs, bike lanes and trails will be available. In addition, bike lights and bells will also be available for those looking to be be a safer rider.

The rest of the week, the University of Windsor will host breakfasts for cyclists. Breakfast will be available from 8am until 10am at the new Law School bike shelter on Tuesday June 7th. Breakfast will also be available at the same time at the bike shelter between Essex Hall, Lambton Tower and the Biology Building on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, June 8th, 9th and 10th.

The organizers of these events are also beginning a U of W Bike Club, and challenging new members to ride to the university 40 days or more between now and the start of the next UWindsor Bike Week, scheduled for September 12th. Those who complete the challenge will be entered to win a number of prizes, such as $100 gift certificates from local bike shops.
