The Buskers on the Midway with Wayne Tellier was performing on Windsor’s downtown riverfront Saturday afternoon and what a nice day for it.  If you enjoy magic, then the Buskers on the Midway is for you.

The Buskers on the Midway started on June 18th and will continue until June 27th with an afternoon show and an evening show from 1:00pm – 4:00pm and from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Then we will be saying good-bye to the Buskers on the Midway, but not for long as they will return to perform on July 2nd and 3rd with their performances happening at our downtown riverfront again, twice daily – same as stated above for the 18th – 26th .  There will also be a special a presentation on July 1st with a brand new aerial show from 12:00pm – 4:00pm at Fred Thomas Park.

Mr. Tellier kept the audience involved. He performed bringing many people into the act including my daughter. He also did a special trick for my daughter before the show began, in which he put one ball into her hand while holding another in his. Then he waved his one hand over the other than when he opened his hand it was gone. Mr. Tellier said “Open your hand” to my daughter and when she did she was holding both little red balls.

I also spoke with Mr. Wayne Tellier and I asked him “How long have you been performing?”

“I’ve been performing around Windsor about the last ten years, busking probably the last three to four years. I started with the Fringe Festival, then now I expanded. So I do my Wayne Tellier magic show and the Bill and Wayne show, with Bill and myself. He does his show, we made it so we have three different shows, so we have more marketing potential.”

“And how many different places do you travel per year?”

“Doing a lot more traveling this year, like I’ll be out in Nova Scotia – in Digby, Nova Scotia at the Scallop Festival, we’re going to be at Carrot Fest in Brantford, which is a little north of Toronto. We’re going to be going to Barrie for Kempenfest, so it’s a lot of fun.

“Did you always know you wanted to perform?”

“Yes and no, haha; I knew I was a character, I was supposed to be a rock-star but that didn’t happen and then I got really good at magic and then, like I did it as a hobby at first and I just got good enough where people said “Why don’t you do it and get paid?” so I do two things – I do an all age festival and I do corporate close up magic and even weddings”
