As of 5:39 PM  on Wednesday Environment Canada Issued the following:

Severe thunderstorm watch for  Windsor – Leamington – Essex County

Potential for severe thunderstorms this evening.  A warm front will push northeast this evening allowing warm and moist air to move into parts of Southwestern Ontario. Thunderstorms moving into the area from the west may become severe with 2 cm hail and damaging wind gusts being the main threats. Heavy rain producing 50 mm in an hour or less is a lesser threat.

Meanwhile, all this rain has caused ERCA to issue a flood warning. There is a possibility of flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas. The advisory is in effect until 9:00 AM Thursday.
