Looking to win some cash, The Hospice Of Windsor & Essex County is asking Windsorites for their help.

In first place as of April 20 but not wanting to lose ground, The Hospice is asking residents to vote in Bayshore Home Health’s hospice donation draw: The prize is substantial and taking part is easy.

“We have a chance to WIN $5,000 through a wonderful yearly hospice Donation Draw,” said The Hospice’s Public Relations/Communications Coordinator, Kathy Vincent. “…This is a CALL OUT to everyone in this community for their support of this great opportunity for funding. It’s simple, please go to Bayshore’s website, click on the Hospice Donation Draw Graphic and type in the password ‘HOSPICE DRAW’ … Follow the instructions and don’t forget – note The Hospice of Windsor & Essex County for YOUR VOTE.”

All votes must be submitted by April 30 and winners will be announced the week of May 1. Money raised from the draw would stay local, being used to help fund The Hospice’s many services that support, empower and educate those suffering from life-threatening illnesses.

“As always, the funds we raise stay here in our community,” said Vincent. “They will go towards helping us continue to provide our programs and services to patients and families here in Windsor and Essex County.”

Founded in 1979, The Hospice has helped over 31,000 people and remains the largest community-based palliative care facility in Canada. Its services include counseling, support groups, Therapeutic Touch and Radiant Touch, transportation, education, home visits, and Art Therapy.
