It’s that time of year again. Spring closet cleaning! This time all that cleaning can go to help out a good cause. Are you holding onto clothes you will never wear again? Will you ever wear that bridesmaid dress again? How about the kids, that prom dress or suit they just had to have but will never wear again?
Transit Windsor, along with New Beginnings, will be hosting a STUFF A BUS TO DRESS FOR SUCCESS event this Saturday April 16, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. They hope to fill a bus with office attire for both males and females, as well as prom dresses and suits.
These items are for two different programs: the Dress for Success program, which helps teens get professional attire to make a good first impression in an interview, and the Say Yes to The Dress event, which provides young boys and girls who could not otherwise afford to buy prom gowns and suits free dress clothes. New Beginnings provides youth with the opportunity to attain free dress clothes free of charge to boost their self esteem. That prom dress or suit your son or daughter has hanging in their closet they will never wear again would be greatly appreciated by a student in one of our local schools who may not be able to afford one.
So, if you have some extra clothes you have to get rid off, drop by the Transit Centre located at 3700 North Service Road on Saturday!
