New Festival Planned For Downtown Windsor

The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association is launching a new event for the 2011 summer festival season. The Inflatable Air Balloon Festival will take place on the streets of Downtown Windsor July 30th and 31st.
This new festival will include inflatable balloons on display on street corners and roof tops throughout the core streets including Ouellette Avenue, Riverside Drive East and West, University Avenue, and Chatham and Pitt Streets.
Downtown bars and restaurants will have extended patios and retail establishments will be able to conduct retail sales on the street. There will be entertainment on street corners, a mini arcade with penny games and a small amusement area.
The inflatables will be provided by Fabulous Inflatables by Dynamic Displays. Dynamic Displays is a well known Windsor business that specializes in character balloon displays, and were featured in the 2010 Winter Olympic Closing Ceremonies.
This new festival will be taking place the same time as the 3rd Annual Emancipation Celebration Festival at the new Riverfront Festival Plaza.
