City to Spend $2.7m on Sports Field Upgrades

The City of Windsor is planning major upgrades to its sports fields over the next five years, starting with upgrades to ball diamonds.

In 2011, at an expense of $270,000, the City will completely restore the Windsor Stadium/Jackson Park baseball diamonds including fixes to playing surfaces.

In 2012, the City will restore MicMac Park’s “Fr. Cullen Field” with new grass, fencing and a new score clock.

In 2013 Wigle Park’s soccer field will be redone, and in 2014 the Walker Homesites park in Devonshire Heights will be refinished along with Realtor Park fields.
