Advance Poll Turnout Figures For Our Area

Elections Canada has released the figures for advance poll voting, which took place this past Friday, Saturday and Monday. According to their figures 2,056,001 electors voted at the advance polls. This is a 34.5% increase from the 1,528,780 electors who voted in advance polls in 2008.
In Ontario, 826,895 electors voted at advanced polls, compared to 603,578 in 2008
In our region 2,410 ballots were cast. Here is how it broke down by ridings:
Windsor-Tecumseh: 5,861
Windsor West: 4,805
Essex: 7,479
Chatham-Kent-Essex: 6,065
Canadians head to the polls on Monday, May 2nd.
