With the spring like temperatures of the past few days melting the huge mountains of snow away, a new problems has surfaced.  Garbage.   So once again, the City of Windsor is asking Windsorites to gather a team to clean.  They are looking for groups and individuals to organize their own litter cleanup in the Rose City’s Spring Clean Sweep Campaign, which is sweeping through our city during the month of April.

A community cleanup involves the removal of litter from sidewalks, vacant lots, school grounds, ditches and alleys. Each group decides for itself where, when and who will be involved in their cleanup. In turn, the City will provide all necessary clean up materials including gloves, bags and collection services.

“City of Windsor residents truly take pride in their community. Last year close to 100 groups and over 50 schools collected litter in their neighborhoods. We’re hoping to get even more participants to spring into action this year.” said Anne-Marie Albidone, Environmental Services Manager.

If you want to help clean up our city call 311 to register or you can email [email protected].
