Hello time traveller!!

The information listed below is likely outdated and has been preserved for archival purposes.

Council will be asked to undertake a LED street light pilot project.  Two locations in the city will have their street lights replaced with LED lights.  They are in front of the new Dr. David Suzuki School on Raymond Avenue, and Malden Park along Matchette Road.  Both Locations will have 10 street lights replaced.  The city has chosen a different supplier for each area.  For Raymond Road LED Roadway Lighting has been chosen.  This will be a 100 day trial, and if the City is not satisfied the lights would be returned without charge.  The second supplier is Phillips Lumex for Matchette.  The total cost of this trial project is $42,658.70

Mayor Eddie Francis will congratulate the 22 athletes and 5 coaches representing Windsor & Essex County at the upcoming 2011 International Children’s Winter Games to be held in Kelowna B.C.  As well council will also be asked to put money aside in the capitol budget for when Windsor and Essex County host the games in 2013.

As reported on first by windsoriteDOTca, the city will be applying to have 9 projects under the ISF extended to the new deadline of October 31st.

The item most likely to draw the most debate this evening will be urban chickens.  As we reported on Saturday Council will again be looking at this issue.
