Adie Knox Herman Pool is entering the next phase of its major upgrade.

The pool is now closed as work is undertaken to remove the interior wall of the existing pool while work is completed on the new therapy pool. The construction requires includes draining the existing pool and replacing tiles.

The pool will reopen January 10, 2010 for regular public swimming, lessons and aquafit.

Originally built in 1968, the facility will be updated to include an improved diving area, an indoor waterside, a new ‘therapy pool’, new change rooms, plumbing and a new pool boiler at a cost of $1,240,000, and is part of the many infrastructure projects under way in the city. The Adie Knox project is being build by Golf Development with consulting by Randi Glos Architect.
