Police on the Lookout For Road Rage Instigator

Police are on the lookout for a man driving an orange Dodge Nitro who was involved in a road rage incident Saturday night around 5:50pm at the intersection of Wyandotte Street East and Drouillard.

The suspect pulled his SUV in front of another motorist, exited his vehicle, and attempted to assault the other motorist.

No other information, including license plate, suspect description, or last direction of travel has been obtained as of yet, but if you see someone erratically driving an orange Dodge Nitro you may want to contact the police or Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477.

Bonfire Goes Bad – Sends One To Hospital

An Essex man accidentally set his arms and legs on fire while trying to start a bonfire using gasoline around 7:45pm Saturday evening. The incident occurred in the 100 block of St. James Street in the Town of Essex.

EMS, fire, and O.P.P. attended the scene. The man was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police Target Brick Throwers

Windsor Police responded to the above grade railway crossing at Walker and Grand Marais around 9:30pm to hunt down some kids who were standing on top of the railway bridge chucking bricks at passing cars down below.

Police On the Lookout for Errant, Possibly Intoxicated Driver

At about 9:42pm on Dougall Avenue near West Grand, a pizza shop employee observed a person driving an older style GMC pickup truck pulling out of the business and driving the wrong way on the roadway. The vehicle was swerving all over the road and was last seen heading westbound on West Grand Boulevard.

Prostitute Assaulted in the West End

A prostitute was allegedly assaulted in the west end of Windsor around 9:45pm by an unknown male suspect. Police were dispatched to assist and investigate.

Police Hunt For Copper Wire Theifs

Two young males were seen stealing a large quantity of copper wire from a construction site in the 1000 block of Goyeau around 10:25pm. They placed the wire into a shopping cart and took off down a nearby alley.

Police On the Lookout for Stolen Cargo Van

A white 2001 Ford cargo van bearing Ontario license plate 966 7TX was stolen from a business on Walker Road around 9pm Saturday night. Anyone who spots this vehicle is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477.

Male Victim Jumped and Knocked Unconscious

A male pedestrian was attacked by two other males near the intersection of Elliot and Ouellette around 1am Sunday morning. The beating was so bad that the victim was knocked unconscious. The two suspects fled on foot.  Anyone who witnessed the assault is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
