The first incident occurred near the intersection of Lesperance and McNorton in Tecumseh around noon. A 3rd party caller  reported to have witnessed a red pickup truck strike a child and then drive off. Tecumseh O.P.P. immediately canvassed the area and located the driver in the 700 block of Michael Drive.

After speaking with the driver, police determined that the incident had been incorrectly reported. According to the driver, the child had been running back and and forth across the roadway when he made contact with the vehicle. The condition of the child is unknown, but no charges were laid against the driver.

The second incident occurred around 3:30pm in the 900 block of County Road 2 in Lakeshore at Rochester Place Campground. A child was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle. Police stated that the boy suffered leg injuries and was conscious as EMS assessed his condition. The boy was transported to Metropolitan Hospital with injuries which are believed to be non-life threatening.
