windsor's hyper-local news, culture, music, arts and more

Windsor is becoming quite the international entertainment destination:  with Playboy’s anniversary party schedule for Caesars, the World Cup of Curling coming to the WFCU Centre, and dozens of other acts visiting both major and minor, uniquely local venues, our humble city is on its way to stardom.

The WFCU Centre announced, this afternoon, that Cirque du Soleil is headed this way in November for an astonishing eight performances.

Cirque du Soleil, internationally recognized as the leader in avant-garde stage performances, has brought delight to one-hundred-million spectators in over 300 cities worldwide — Windsor is now one of them.

Between November 17th and 21st, 2010, Cirque du Soleil will seize the WFCU Centre to perform its Dralion Tour, what’s described as “the fusion of ancient Chinese circus traditions and the avant-garde style of Cirque du Soleil”.
