The Canadian Hockey League’s top players were called to Windsor for the CHL Top Prospects Game at the WFCU Centre, Wednesday.
Top-of-the-charts players Tyler Seguin and Taylor Hall, as well as other remarkable hockey players Nino Niederreiter of the Portland Winterhawks and Emerson Etem of the Medicine Hat Tigers took to the ice and put together a win for honourary, guest coach Don Cherry.
The CHL Top Prospects Game focuses on the top pre-NHL players in Canada, and is a yearly game filled with energy and action that lures National Hockey League Scouts to recruit players.
Windsor was awarded the CHL top prospects game for this season, following another significant hockey event – the Subway Super Series in November – due to the fairly new WFCU Centre.
Cherry’s team beat a team coached by hockey legend Bobby Orr, with a final score of 4-2.
