The sound of country, and the presence of some local celebrities made for an amazing night at the WFCU Centre on Friday.

Country singer Johnny Reid was on hand to kick off Windsor’s newest radio station, “Windsor’s FM 95.9” along with former AM800 personality Melanie Deveau and previous A-Channel morning host, Houida Kassem.

FM 95.9, while hosting a country format, is extremely focused on news and local updates, which is truly awesome for this one-newspaper town.

The concert began with new-95.9 personality Houida Kassem introducing the Station’s team.

And after a brief intermission, it was time for the man, Johnny Reid.

Canada’s own (but Scotland-born), double platinum country artist Johnny Reid, took the stage to perform such hits as “A Woman Like You”, and “Out Of The Blue”.
