Blue kilometre markers have sprung up along Windsor’s riverfront.
The markers bear the inscription “Battagello Riverwalk” and are named after former city councillor Roy Battagello .
Battagello was involved in the earliest pushes to convert Windsor’s riverfront from a patchwork of industrial railyards, into a walkable civic park. The riverfront concept was finalized by the efforts of mayors Bert Weeks and Michael Hurst.
