Detroit, Diversified Chemical Company Fire

A fire over the Detroit skyline, significantly visible from Windsor, is raging at a chemical factory in Detroit.

The Diversified Chemical Company’s main plant caught fire this afternoon and continues to burn, with a west wind pushing smoke over Detroit’s skyline toward Lake St. Clair.

    Oh, I wondered about that. I saw someone leaning way out over the railing at the marina and staring off in that direction, which caused me to look and see the smoke.
