Art in the Park 2009

Art in the Park 2009 took place within Willistead Park, in Walkerville.  Amazing weather this year, not hot or humid, and only a sprinkle of of rain.

No Art in the Park is complete without WindsorEats.com’s guerilla advertising!  I was so tempted to do the same with www.windsorvisuals.com!!

One of my favourite things about Art in the Park over the years has been the open doors to Willistead Manor.  The AGW’s Art Rental & Sales had an exhibition inside.

This is my weakness.  I don’t only go to Art in the Park for pictures, I mainly go for the edibles!

In talking with a Rotary member, it seems Art in the Park was pretty successful this year (hurray!). Last year they had ~12 000 visitors, whereas on Saturday alone this year they had ~14 000! Glad there were no CUPE strikers there. Everyone seemed to be enjoying and in a good mood.

And I, too, indulged in the fudge. Yum!

Oooh, I hope the booths in some of your pictures are there next year. I don’t have weekends off, so I always miss Art in the Park, but I’m going to try and book off next year’s weekend so I can go.

    Good photos!

made me sad how they would only use bands who were part of some musicians union. which pretty much killed the chance for any local bands i know to play there.

Mr Chill is a local band. My friend’s barbershop quartet always sings there too and they’re local. Maybe you need to join the musicians union or at least find out some of the benefits.

I was sad I had to miss it this year due to work. First time I’ve seen the beer bottle night lights!
