If this was the sight you saw around 6pm Saturday evening, here’s the scoop. My friend John pointed out that there was black smoke pouring into the sky in the area of Walker and Grand Marais… I had to go take a look and cover this fire.
A set of work trailers at an Auto Repair Shop behind Glidden / ICI Paints on Walker and North Service were burning. Fire Truck #3 took an aerial position to attack the flames.
Fire crews up in the bucket.
Fire Captain and crew on the roof of Glidden’s Warehouse with what appears to be a thermal imaging camera.
The fire was extinguished in under a half hour, and Truck 3′s bucket descended.
Waiting for the smoke to dissipate…
Crews walk back to be rehabilitated and replenish lost fluids. Not sure what the cause of this was, but it certainly burned high and wide.
