Last fall, hundreds of thousands of free compact fluorescent lights (CFLs) were delivered to households in Ontario, including Windsor! The free lights were handed out by a program called Project Porchlight, which so happens to have a special page for Windsor listing streets where bulbs were delivered.
Pretty funny warning on this one!
In other energy savings news, it’s Energy Conservation Week in Ontario starting this Sunday, May 25th.
Here are a few events in Windsor related to Energy Conservation Week:
- Union Gas – Free Energy Savings Kits at Home Depot
- EnWin Energy Education Day
- Every Kilowatt Counts program at Windsor WalMarts (May 28th)
- Every Kilowatt Counts program at Windsor Home Depots (May 30th & 31st)
Have a good energy conservation week!
