Last fall, hundreds of thousands of free compact fluorescent lights (CFLs) were delivered to households in Ontario, including Windsor!  The free lights were handed out by a program called Project Porchlight, which so happens to have a special page for Windsor listing streets where bulbs were delivered.

Pretty funny warning on this one!

In other energy savings news, it’s Energy Conservation Week in Ontario starting this Sunday, May 25th.

    I’ve been replacing my std. incandescent bulbs with CFLs for the last few years as part of my “pay Enwin less” strategy. I think it’s been working, along with a few other changes I’ve been making.

    And yeah, I got one of those bulbs last year too. It’s in my porch-light where it belongs. :)
