This sign on the north end of the skybridge is to be, when illuminated, visible from Downtown Detroit. Below the windows here is a ticker LED sign for announcements, plus dates and times of upcoming events at the Convention Centre.

A rendering from the WZMH Architects Site shows exactly how the signs will function.

The top suite floor had a welding crew on site while I was there, and windows for that floor are going up on the western side of the structure. One floor up, work on the top floor pool is presumably going on.

Here’s the south side of the skybridge. The valet/limo/cab area was sealed with plastic for winter work a few months back. Along the walls of the convention center are vertical steel placards covered with white siding that will display hung advertisements for the Casino.

Close up of the south skybridge sign mounting. As of this posting, the south sign is up, however covered with plastic.

Over and above at the new hotel tower, workers are piecing white siding together for placement over the concrete walls that enclose the south stairwells.

Hallway panoramic view: the leading edge windows of each floor of the hotel tower.
Broken windows are all over the hotel tower and have been boarded up. I wonder, are broken window panes a common problem when assembling skyscrapers? Not much to compare with here in Windsor.

Construction employees pass the 11th floor in the work elevator. This ride stopped off at the very top floor.
