The University of Windsor’s historic Grad House was demolished this weekend after numerous attempts to save the structure.  The site of the Grad House will be used to facilitate the University’s forthcoming medical centre.  Some pictures of the demolition:

All that remains is the chimney, which by the time of this posting, is probably no longer standing.

It was a nice old house but I guess a medical school will pay dividends for the university.

Thanks for posting these. I’m an old Windsor alum who spend many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many lunches, afternoons, evenings and dollars in that place and the Grad House before it.

    I’m pretty sad about this.

All about money, as usual, money wins again. Let’s see, that puts money in the lead over esthetic, eclectic and unique beauty and historic and cultural value by a score of about one zillion to zero. Better Business wins another one!
Parking lots and pay toilets are better business than the grad house to the vulture capitalists who run our fine institutions for culturally retarded.
Then the geniuses will sit around pondering why there is no artsy subculture in Windsor. D’uh.
They tore it down and put up a parking lot. Idiots.
