Construction Update

Haven’t done one of these in a while, so and I made a trip to the 22nd floor of Caesars Windsor for some visuals.


Cold, cold, cold



The Casino expansion is at the point where the entertainment complex’s structure is complete;
the first floor of the hotel tower is slowly being build out of the base.


The Casino Parking Garage is set to be expanded upward by two floors. Work has started on the university st side.


Downstairs in the Casino, things are looking classy. A new bar replaced the spot where the waterfall is.
Everything is done in Greek styling. The bar is in the center of a large entrance foyer with a high ceiling.

…but only 3 on the other side??


Down the street from the Casino, the new Bus Station is looking good. Windows are now in place.

    the river on that first shot looks fabulous.

    yeah, the first shot i didn’t even believe it at first! i thought, no way that’s real! but wow. i love it.

    the casino’s windows have the blue-ish tint, so really the water (or.. ice?) shouldn’t be that blue. but I guess it’s a nice effect. I was really surprised to see that the river was even frozen with the mild temperatures we had up until only a few weeks ago!

    I love bubi’s!
    except i was there two days in a row last week so i cant go back for a while or it’ll look like im there all the time.

    also, love the first picture. i think i took a picture a while ago when there were just chunks of ice floating around and you could hear them crashing against each other. a few years ago i guess, maybe i can find the picture..

    bubi’s is great but hella expensive to go to a lot. gotta love those mason jars of pop

    Chatham street, ehhhh? It’s nice to know there’s an actual TRANSIT bus terminal being built downtown. You used to be able to wait inside the Greyhound station when it was cold out but they lock the doors pretty early now (8ish). It SUCKS waiting outside in the sketchy darkness of the Greyhound station for extended periods of time for long (or non-existing) connections. Maybe now they can spend a little money to improve the schedules for evening/Sunday service too. Thanks for the info!
